The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (the CCPC) has approved Speed Fibre Group’s acquisition of certain assets from BT Communication Ireland following a Phase 1 review. The deal includes BT’s fibre network, over 400 customers, and associated teams supporting wholesale and business enterprises.
Following its Phase 1 review, the CCPC formed the view that the transaction will not lead to a substantial lessening of competition in any market in Ireland.
Frontier Economics advised Speed Fibre Group on the CCPC’s competition assessment of the transaction.
