Frontier Economics is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with the Royal Economic Society (RES) to support efforts to improve equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across the economics profession.
RES’s mission is to ensure economics is understood, advanced and applied for the maximum benefit of society. As part of this, RES is committed to broadening participation in the field and fostering an inclusive environment in which all economists can thrive—goals that strongly align with Frontier’s own values.
As an RES strategic partner, Frontier will support a wide range of activities, including hosting and sponsoring events and contributing to school outreach, as well as helping the RES to shape its EDI agenda. The partnership also includes support for specific initiatives such as:
-
the Discover Economics campaign, which aims to broaden the appeal of economics to potential students; change their perceptions of economics and economists and attract more students from under-represented groups ; and
-
the UK Women in Economics Network, which supports the career development of UK-based women in economics, across all sectors.
Frontier Director, Andrew Leicester notes:
“At Frontier, we are committed to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in all its forms. Becoming a strategic partner of the Royal Economic Society ensures we can be a leading voice in making economics more inclusive and reaffirms the importance of EDI to us as a business building on our EDI Strategy. We’re proud to support initiatives that inspire the next generation of economists and help remove barriers to entry across the profession.”
Giovanni Razzu, RES Diversity, Inclusion and Professional Conduct (DIPC) Trustee, stated:
“We are delighted to partner with Frontier Economics in our shared commitment to improve diversity, inclusion and integrity in the profession. This partnership will provide valuable resource and support to further our efforts in making economics more accessible and equitable for all.”
